Thanks to the literally 100s of email I got in support of my celebration of Nash’s retirement. Although I know deep down he will be back, it will be nice to have Nash-free TV for a few weeks!

Exclusive footage from last night, when Nash left.

Kevin Nash funeral. The Magnificent 7 in the ring. The funeral, etc. They got through all the guys they have gotten rid of. Steiner bashes DDP. Kanyon is in the coffin, he and Steiner mock Page more. DDP is in the crowd, he wants the Mag7 to feel the bang I think. DDP vs. Steiner at Greed, DDP vs. Kanyon tonight and ONLY on Nitro.

Cat and Miss Jones chat backstage.

Shannon Moore vs. Jamie Knoble
Back and forth. Bodyslam by Jamie. Jamie up top. Shannon tries a suplex, Jamie floats back, they go back and forth some more. Head scissors by Shannon. Jamie slams Shannon’s head into the turnbuckle pad, Shannon kicks him on the way to the other corner and then does a somersault plancha by Shannon for 2. Jamie in the corner, Shannon with a kick. Cover for 2. Jamie sent to the floor. Shannon FLIES at him with a suicide somersault dive to the floor. Evan is over to help Jamie, but Shannon dropkicks Jamie into Evan. Jamie sends Shannon into the side of the ring. Evan DDTs Jamie on the apron? Shannon hits the Bottoms Up for the pin.
Winner: Shannon Moore

Evan and Shannon beat down Jamie together. The talk on the cell in the convertible at the same time!

Konnan and Kidman chat backstage.

Mike Awesome vs. Bryan Clarke
Brawling, Clarke backs Awesome into the corner. Elix Skipper comes into the ring, and Clarke starts beating on him. Storm is into the ring, and Team Canada beats down Clarke. Adams is here for the save. Is this match thrown out? Five way brawling goodness.

The Cat walks

The Cat yells at Storm in the ring. Cat makes a match with someone Storm never thought he’d have to face again. Yes, it’s the laughing man, Hugh Morrus.

Kid Romeo vignette. He is a playa apparently. He is a Latin sensation.

Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Animal vs. Kidman and Konnan
Konnan and Animal brawl backstage. As Chavo watches the brawl on the big screen, Kidman attacks. Kidman wearing a black shirt, he MUST mean business. Kidman in control. Are we really taking a break?

Animal and Konnan brawl for a while in the aisle. Chavo in control in the ring. Tornado DDT by Chavo. With Kidman out, Chavo goes to the floor and beats on Konnan with Animal. Chavo back in but Kidman regains control. Back elbow, Kidman kips up. Is this a tag match? Konnan and Animal are on the apron now. Kidman goes up top and hits a big splash and Chavo moves. Konnan is tagged in. He and Chavo go at it. Kidman back in and goes to work for a while, but Animal is in and so is Konnan. All brawl. Animal cleared out by Animals, Konnan botches a face buster on Chavo. Kidman goes up top, but Animal pulls out Chavo. Kidman flies at them on the floor. Chavo and Kidman back into the ring. Here comes Rey Rey. Kidman and Rey double team Chavo, ref counts it.
Winners: Animals

After the match Animal slams Kidman.

Buff walks.

Buff Bagwell vs. The Cat w/Miss Jones
Cat on the mic. Cat offers Buff a place back on the “good side” and then Buff asks the crowd. But of course he doesn’t do it. Cat attacks him, Buff takes a breather on the floor. They go back and forth in the ring. Sleeper by Buff, Cat is up. Clothesline by Buff. Bodyslam. Cat starts fighting back with some kicks. Kanyon is sneaking down to ringside for some reason. Buff tries a sunset flip but we all know YOU CAN’T SUNSET FLIP THE CAT and he crotch chops and chops Buff. Kanyon distracts Cat from the apron. Buff hits a DDT, goes up top and hits a Blockbuster.
Winner: Buff

After the match, Buff and Kanyon celebrate in the ring, Miss Jones into the ring and she gets a Kanyon Kutter for her trouble. Officials call for some medical help, and the Cat clears the ring of Buff and Kanyon. Cat checks on Miss Jones as she is brought out on a stretcher.

Lash Leroux vs. Rick Steiner
Lash has short hair! He luckily still has the L Shaped sideburns! Rick mauls Lash to the floor. I’m smelling squash. Yup.

Scott Steiner and Kanyon talk about DDP strategy. Steiner gives him the brass knucks that bloodied Kevin Nash.

Lance Storm vs. Hugh Morrus
Hugh in control to begin and Lance takes a breather on the floor. Storm back in and does some knee lifts. Storm tries a crucifix, but Hugh Morrus catches him and falls backward. Hugh goes up top for an early moonsault, and Lance is up quickly and knocks him over. Storm takes control. Brawling moves briefly to the floor, Hugh in control. Storm goes for a Maple Leaf, but Morrus gets the ropes. Morrus fights back and hits the No Laughing Matter.
Winner: Morrus

“The American Dweem” walks backstage.

Dusty Rhodes’ music plays, but no, it’s the Chosen One , our and dressed like the American “Dweem.” He has a big pillow in his stomach. He has a bucket of fried chicken. Then he does an impression on the mic. The Dweem seems to think his “son” Dustin has no chance against the Chosen One. Then Dweem calls down some jabronies and beats them all up at once. After this exhibition, Dustin Rhodes comes down to virtually no pop, followed closely by Rick Steiner who gets a nice face reaction. Steiner and Dustin brawl.

Kanyon vs. DDP
Who’s Better Than Kanyon? Everybody? Nah, I’m gonna beat DDP again tonight. DDP enters through the crowd. Kanyon beaten the floor, and DDP flies at Kanyon and brawling commences on the floor. Back into the ring. Tilt a whirl slam by DDP. DDP goes for the cutter, Kanyon backs away. Kanyon hits a hot shot on DDP on the top turnbuckle. Kanyon covers for 2. Kanyon in control, but DDP hulks up and goes to work with a discuss lariat. Ten head bops in the corner on the turnbuckle. Belly to back. Crowd is very hot for DDP. Signal for the Diamond Cutter, and Kanyon hits a penis uppercut. Kanyon Kutter! But Page kicks out. Idiot Tony says “that’s how he got him last night” but that is false, DDP kicked out of the cutter, and then used the Flatliner. Idiot. Kanyon has a Positively Page book out of no where, and hits Page with the ref’s back turned. Oh, there was a brick in the book. Kanyon goes for the special brass knucks, DDP blocks and hits the Diamond Cutter.

Steiner Siren, and here comes Big Poppa. They argue as we fade.
