Welcome to 411’s WWE Tribute to the Troops Report 12.23.15

– JoJo sings the national anthem to kick off the show.

– Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and The Usos make their way out to the ring. Reigns welcomes everyone to the show and says that they are here to put smiles on peoples faces, especially the troops. Tonight is about thanking the troops, for keeping s safe. Of course, the League of Nations makes their way out now. Sheamus cuts off Reigns before he can praise America’s greatness, and says he admires the US, and it may be in the top 20 nations in the world, but not the greatest nation in the world. Barrett praises the British for having better food and teeth. American food is rubbish and processed, and everyone in the arena is one hot dog short of a heart attack. Barrett then says he wants spotted dick. Reigns says that this is a family show, and Barrett defends it. Del Rio bashes US TV for being trash, too much stuff about zombies and dragons and hackers. Where is the real football that no one else plays? He then bashes country music. Sheamus then praises Ireland, the food, women, castles and gingers. Reigns says they also have the smallest tater tots. Reigns then challenges them to come to the ring to test their theories about Americans, and they will make them pay for talking badly about the red, white and blue. The League heads to the ring, the Wyatts gimmick hits, and now they make their way to the ring. Apparently they hate America as well. This then leads to the Dudleyz making their way out. And then, we see that Ryback is here. They are still out numbered, so Kane makes his way out. We then get a big brawl in the ring as well as one on the floor. Mass brawling everywhere as we head to a commercial.

– Various celebrities thank the troops.

– We will have a 16-man main event tonight, featuring all of the people from the opening segment.

– Lana cut a promo in Russian, and then Rusev speaks in Bulgarian.

Boot Camp Match: Rusev w/Lana vs. Jack Swagger: There are cots, helmets, footlockers and other military items around the ring. Lock up to begin, and Rusev shoves Swagger off to the corner. Swagger charges, they lock up and he shoves Rusev down. Double leg by Swagger. Looks for the ankle lock but Rusev makes the ropes and Lana hands him an ammo box and he attacks Swagger with it. Rusev continues to beat on Swagger with the box, and then connects with head butts. Rusev charges, but gets sent to the floor and Swagger clotheslines him onto a cot. We head to a commercial break…

Back from the break as Rusev beats down Swagger with a footlocker and then a helmet, the cover gets 2. Rusev then tries to grind Swagger’s face into the footlocker, but Swagger fights back and connects with rights. Rusev cuts him off with kicks and then covers for 2. Rusev sends Swagger to the floor and then poses with the Bulgarian flag. Swagger gets fired up, but Rusev send shim back to the floor repeatedly. Swagger then grabs the US flag and waves it to the chants of USA. This fires him up and he makes his comeback. Clotheslines to Rusev, then the Swagger bomb connects for a near fall. Rusev counters the ankle lock, and then connects with the superkick; the cover gets 2. Swagger counters another superkick, and then sends Rusev into a metal case that was wedged in the corner. Ankle lock from Swagger, Rusev fights and then taps.

Bo Dallas vs. Mark Henry: Bo is out in an Uncle Sam inspired outfit. Henry laughs at Bo and when Bo gets angry, Henry attacks. Bo manages to shove Henry to the corner and lay in some rights and kicks. He takes a victory lap and then turns around when Henry gets angry. World strongest slam and that is all.

– Members of the military wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

– Wesley Snipes thanks the troops.

– Kevin Owens makes his way to the ring, and says that he wants to pay tribute to the greatest country in the world, Canada. Specifically Quebec, the people and scenery are nicer and they have better air quality. He also praises the Canadian health care system, and says that French Canadians are smarter than the average American, as they speak more than one language. He then drops some French on the crowd, and here comes the Ryback.

Kevin Owens vs. The Ryback: Ryback attacks right away, slamming Owens to the corner and hitting several shoulder blocks. Big slam follows from Ryback, looks for a press slam but Owens escapes and then tries for a suplex. Ryback counters into a stalling suplex, and Owens rolls to the floor. Owens then stuns Ryback off the ropes, and then hits a clothesline. He lays the boots to Ryback, and then works the chinlock. Ryback tries to fight back; hits shoulder blocks and then a spinebuster. Ryback looks for the meat hook, and it connects. Shell shock try countered as Owens gets to the apron. They both throw rights, and connect as Owens falls to the floor. Owens decides he’s had enough of this shit, and takes the count out.

– WWE and Coca-Cola partnered to help a military family attend the event, and go backstage and meet the WWE Superstars on their anniversary. They drink Cokes with Roman Reigns, because product placement. They are here front row, drinking a Coke.

– Howie Mandel is here to do something resembling a comedy routine.

– Joe Manganiello thanks the troops.

– And now a message from JJ Abrams…

Paige, Sasha Banks, Naomi and Tamina vs. Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox: Becky Lynch wins the night for wearing the Balor Christmas sweater with the sleeves cut off. Naomi and Charlotte to begin, Naomi rubs her ass in Charlotte’s face but then eats chops. Knee drop by Charlotte, tag to Brie who does the Daniel Bryan kicks. She then goes for the running knee strike, but Tamina takes her out wit a clothesline. The heels work over Brie in the corner, Banks tags in and gets the cover for 2. Back to the corner, Paige tags in and hits a pair of running knees and the cover gets 2. Tag to Naomi, Brie tries to fight back and works out of the heel corner, and then sends Naomi to the corner. Tamina tags in, but Brie with an enziguri and tags in Lynch. Lynch runs wild, working over Tamina. To the apron, rights follow, up top and the missile dropkick connects, the cover gets 2 as Nomi made the save. Spear by Charlotte to Naomi. Paige with the superkick, Fox with a kick, spike leg drop to Tamina and that gets 2. Head butt by Tamina follows, Banks in and hits the Banks statement on Fox, and she taps.

Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, The Usos, The Dudley Boyz, Demon Kane and The Ryback vs. Sheamus, Rusev, King Barrett, Alberto Del Rio, Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman: JIP as Ambrose works over Rowan. Quick tags to the Usos, they control for a bit until Rowan hits a shoulder block and tags in Harper. The Usos take back control and tag Bubba in, big backdrop follows, but Harper manages to tag in Strowman. Bubba then tags in Kane, and we get more of this magical pairing. Big strikes by Kane, off the ropes and a boot and clothesline by Kane. Strowman still on his feet and Kane tries to slam him, fails and Strowman slams him down. Tag to Sheamus now, he works over Kane in the heel corner and then the heels work quick tags and basically steal the New Day corner kick spot. Kane tries to fight out of the corner, and then cleans house. We head to a commercial…

Back from the break as Jey rolls up Harper for 2. Jimmy tags in, works the arm of Harper but then gets distracted by Rowan. Harper hits the black hole slam and covers for 2. Jimmy sent to the heel corner, they work him over and Wyatt tags in and hits the running back splash and covers for 2. Rusev tags in, works a grounded bear hug for a bit, but gets slammed back to the corner and Sheamus tags in. Suplex follows, and Sheamus poses. Sheamus tries another suplex, countered and an enziguri lands for Jimmy. The heels all rush in to take out the faces and that allows them to keep control. Harper in and connects with uppercuts and then works the side headlock. Jimmy hits the back suplex and looks for a tag and gets it. Ambrose in and he runs wild on Harper, wild strikes to the heel corner and then a bulldog to Harper. Ambrose up top, leaps over Harper and then gets a slam and heads back up top. Elbow drop follows, and the cover gets 2. EVERYONE IS IN as it breaks down. Slam to Rowan and then the WAZZUP head butt lands for Devon. Get the tables. More brawling around the ring, dive by Ambrose, he gets tossed into the table and then Reigns hits a Superman punch. The Usos hit dives onto everyone. Ambrose back in, eats a superkick but rebounds with the jawbreaker lariat. Dirty deeds stopped by Wyatt, but Kane is in and hits a chokeslam. Strowman with the hug on Kane, the face in and finally clear him to the floor. Dirty deeds on Harper and that is that.
