AAA & CMLL Alumnus Maximo Says He’s ‘Back’ After January Retirement

Maximo says he’s “back” after announcing his retirement in January, though he really never retired in the first place. The former CMLL World Heavyweight Champion announced in January that he was retiring from in-ring competition in order to start his own promotion, though as Lucha Blog notes he never actually stopped wrestling. Regardless, he announced on Friday that he was “returning” to the ring (he competed a week ago), writing on Instagram:
“A few months ago I was in a deep depression… I made mistakes like any human being. I couldn’t find how to get up, fight, face my actions… thank God to my mother, sister, brother-in-law, nephew Juan Reyes, comadre Marta, Iván and one person in particular… today I’m back… more changes are coming… God knows why and in what time things happen I love you a thousand.. thank you. let’s go for everything!! Heeeaaaa!!!”
