AJ Styles’ new responsibilities with WWE since his in-ring retirement include taking an interest in younger talent. We recently found out that he’s been coaching Lexis King at the Performance Center, and he’s been scouting talent outside the Performance Center as well.

While at the Performance Center, AJ has been keeping an eye on the young talent heading up to WWE. One group that recently got called up was Fatal Influence, and Jacy Jayne has already impressed folks with a victory over Charlotte Flair in her debut match on SmackDown. WWE obviously sees a lot in Jacy and her group, and AJ Styles is in their corner. He recently spoke about Fatal Influence on the most recent episode of The Phenomenally Retro Podcast.

On Fatal Influence:

“Well, what I like about that group is they look like the kind of people that would bully my daughter. Yeah. That makes me mad. I was like, “Oh, I just I was like, they’re doing so good, you know, like it’s the opposite how I would feel, but like knowing what they’re doing and how they’re doing their job and they’re doing it well. This is it.” Yeah. I’m like, “All right, keep doing what you’re doing. This is good. This is good stuff.””
