Athena vs. Maya World Owen Hart Cup Semifinal Official for 6/20 AEW Collision

ROH Women’s World Champion Athena and Maya World will lock horns in the semifinals of the 2026 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament next weekend on Collision.

AEW confirmed the match following the events on tonight’s episode, where Athena viciously attacked Maya World.

Earlier in the show, Athena and Maya World traded verbal blows, with the latter vowing to use everything that Athena taught her in the upcoming semifinal and take it to the finals.

Later, the ROH Women’s World Champion defeated Tiara James in convincing fashion. However, she continued to attack James, prompting Maya World to run down for the save.

However, as Maya World checked on James, Athena entered the ring and assaulted World, driving her face-first into the ROH Women’s World Title.

Following that, AEW confirmed that they will battle in the Owen Cup semifinals next weekend. As noted previously, Maya World picked up a surprise win over Skye Blue after replacing an injured Sareee this past Wednesday. Meanwhile, Athena defeated Mina Shirakawa in the opening round of the tournament at last month’s Double or Nothing to book her spot in the semifinals.

The upcoming episode of Collision will emanate from the Smart Financial Center in Sugar Land, Texas. It will be taped on Wednesday following Dynamite.
