Ava Asks Fans For ‘Unconventional” Ideas To Crown New NXT Champion

Ava is thinking outside the box on ideas to determine the new NXT Champion, soliciting “unconventional” ideas from fans to handle the vacated title. As previously noted, Ava is set to address the future of the title on this week’s WWE NXT. The championship was vacated by Oba Femi at the end of last week’s NXT New Year’s Evil.

Ava posted to her Twitter account to comment on the matter, writing:

“reply to this with your most unconventional, non traditional wrestling ideas of how to crown the next champion.”

The response has included ideas from current and former WWE talent. Wendy Choo suggested that the Scramble Match be brought back (she said “non-wrestling,” Wendy), while Lexis King magnanimously said he would hold onto it, writing:

“I will hold onto it for the time being.

We will hold a tournament in my name!

The King’s gambit we shall call it!

The winner of the tournament gets a shot at a number one contenders match against an opponent of my choosing…

Then the winner of that match faces ME for the NXT championship!!!”

Jordynne Grace suggested mud sumo wrestling, and WWE alumna Shane Haste said, “Just give it to me?”

Ava did find potential in a Drag Race-inspired solution. One fan suggested a Lip Synch For Your Life, which she replied to and said “you’re onto something.”

We’ll find out how the new champion will be determined on this Tuesday’s episode of NXT.
