New Day’s Big E Talks Emcee Duties For USFL Michigan Panthers
Speaking recently with the Battleground Podcast, Big E shared some details on his new job as the home emcee for the Michigan Panthers (via Wrestling Inc). E referenced his football roots and shared some information about how the new opportunity provides the opening for him to promote both his love of the sport and his wrestling background. You can read a few highlights from Big E and watch the full podcast episode below.
On how the emcee job takes him back to his foundations: “Football was my first love. Obviously everything that I have that’s good in life is because of wrestling, I can’t tell you how much I love wrestling, my time in WWE, but the first thing I loved as a kid was football, so that is something near and dear to me.”
On the potential he gains from the emcee gig: “I’ve been out with this neck injury but I still feel great. And it felt like this was the perfect opportunity to both promote Fox’s USFL and the Michigan Panthers, in particular, and, of course, WWE SummerSlam.”
