My apologies for the delay, but I took Wednesday night off to decorate the Christmas tree and watch White Christmas with my daughters.

– Matches are taped at the San Antonio live event during Takeover: WarGames weekend.

The Street Profits vs. Riddick Moss and Tino Sabbatelli: This is a rematch from a few weeks ago, when the Street Profits picked up the victory. Dawkins and Moss to start. They lock up and work to the corner. Moss shoves Dawkins and powders to the floor. Back in and Moss gets a takedown, and Dawkins gets the switch and he gets takedowns. Moss escapes, hits a shoulder tackle and a slam. Dawkins fires back, hits a shoulder tackle and slam. Ford tags in and the double team moonsault gets 2. Sabbatelli tags in, cuts off Ford and celebrates. Ford hits a dropkick and the Profits hit a double team flapjack on Moss and toss him to the floor. Post break, and Sabbatelli sends Ford to the floor. He follows and rolls him back in, works ground and pound, and keeps control. Moss tags in and they double team Ford, isolating him in their corner. Moss celebrates, and then lays in rights. Ford fires back with chops, but Moss cuts him off with an elbow, covering for 2. Moss lays in ground and pound, slowing things down. The chinlock follows. Ford fights back, avoids the charge and Dawkins gets the hot tag and runs wild. He hits corner attacks on Sabbatelli and Moss, and the big right follows for 2. Dawkins fights off both, tosses Sabbatelli and gets a roll up for 2. Moss gets in a cheap shot and the ref catches Moss trying to help with the pin for a break. Ford takes out Moss. The spinebuster and frog splash finishes Sabbatelli. The Street Profits defeated Riddick Moss and Tino Sabbatelli @ 8:50 via pin [**] Moss & Sabbatelli look great and have a great attitude, but once they get into the ring they just aren’t clicking with me. The match was solid and the right team won, as the Profits are over big time.

– We get video of Tyler Bate and Trent Seven meeting up with Pete Dunne, setting up tonight’s tag team main event; the lads from Mustache Mountain are looking for a fight. Mark Andrews will team with Dunne, only because if they win, he gets a title shot.

– We get a Lars Sullivan video package.

Kairi Sane vs. Peyton Royce w/Billie Kay: They lock up and Royce lays on forearm strikes. The hip toss follows, and Sane counters into a roll up for 2. Sane frustrates Royce, hits a head scissors and follows with a dropkick for 2. Kay distracts Sane, allowing Royce to hit a spin kick for 2. Royce follows with clubbing strikes, but Sane gets a small package for 2. Royce cuts her off. Post break, Royce grounds the action. Sane tries to battle to her feet, gets a roll up but Royce cuts her off right away. Royce misses a charge, but Sane slams her to the buckles and hits the spear. Sane follows with forearms, hits a running blockbuster and then the sliding D in the corner, Sane up top, Royce avoids and hits a knee strike for 2. Royce throws a fit. Sane trips up Royce, lays in kicks and then takes out Kay. Sane up top, elbow drop, finish. Kairi Sane defeated Peyton Royce @ 5:25 via pin [**½] This was a perfectly average little match here, with Sane fighting off both heels to keep her winning ways going.

– We get clips of Ruby Riott vs. Sonya Deville from last week. They will face off in a No Holds Barred match next week.

– Next are of Andrade Almas winning the NXT Championship. There’s new footage of Drew McIntyre getting checked on by medics; he’s out until 2018; McIntyre hopes to be back by April, but it could be as long as May or July.

Tyler Bate & Trent Seven vs. Mark Andrews & Pete Dunne: Bate and Dunne to start. Dunne immediately takes him down, but bate counters and they work back to the feet. Dunne teases tagging out, but lays out Bate with a forearm strike and then tags in Andrews. Bate and Andrews work some fun back and forth, Bate scores with a dropkick and tags in Seven. Seven slams him down and Bate follows with a senton for 2. Andrews picks up the pace, hits a dropkick and covers for 2. Dunne tags himself in and attacks the fingers of Seven. Seven fires back with chops, and hits a DDT for 2. Dunne hits a back elbow, tagging in Andrews as Dunne hits a cheap shot on Seven; Dunne is a spectacular asshole. Post break, Dunne is working over Seven and tags in Andrews. He takes down seven, continuing to work the arm. Seven tries to fight both off, but Dunne tags in, hitting a back stabber to cut him off. Dune lays in the boots, stomping the shit out of Seven as he continues to assault the arm and now lower back. Andrews tags in, but as he takes control, Dunne tags himself back in. Seven fires back, hitting the seven star lariat and Bate gets the hot tag. He runs wild on Dunne, hits running uppercuts and then an XPLODER. The running shooting star follows for 2. Bate looks for the Tyler driver, Dunne escapes and Andrews tags in and hits a double stomp and standing corkscrew moonsault for 2. Bate cuts him off with a knee strike, but Andrews hits an enzuiguri and they work up top. Dunne tags himself backing and Andrews hits a RANA into a Dunne sitout powerbomb for a great near fall. Dunne slaps around Bate, but Bate jacks him with the straight right hand. Seven tags in, hits a snapdragon suplex on Dunne, and Bate tags in for double teams, but Andrews makes the save. Dunne fights off Seven and Bate, but Bate cuts him off and hits a deadlift German but Andrews tagged and hits a moonsault for 2. Andrews up top, Bate avoids the shooting star and gets the airplane spin. Dunne tags himself in, rolling up Bate for 2. Forearm strikes follow, but Bate hits a rebound lariat and Tyler driver 97 and pins Dunne! Tyler Bate & Trent Seven defeated Mark Andrews & Pete Dunne @ 11:45 via pin [***¾] The story here was that Dunne didn’t want to tag with Andrews, and only did because he needed a partner. So they were at odds a lot, with Dunne tagging himself in repeatedly to try and win things on his own. The thread that kept it all together was the Bate and Dunne rivalry over the UK title, and with Bate picking up a win over the champion here, a title rematch with Bate should be coming soon. Overall this was a very good, almost great main event with a strong story to keep it all tied together.

– Andrews foolishly tries to check on Dunne post match, but Dunne gives no fucks and lays him out with the bitter end.

– Thanks for reading.

– End scene.

The final score: review Good
The 411
I enjoyed this week’s NXT, it’s always fun when they get out of Full Sail as it gives the show a different vibe. The Street Profits and Kairi Sane both continued their winning ways, while we were treated to a very good main event, which should give us another Bate vs. Dunne match, which I am all for. Overall a good and fun show this week.
