Former WWE and TNA producer David Sahadi has issued a statement after it was revealed that he was arrested on a stalking charge last month. Sahadi, who was with WWE from 1992 to 2003 as Creative Director and worked with TNA as a producer for several years until 2017, was arrested on February 10th on charges of stalking per PWInsider. The arrest had been under the radar until his mugshot was posted online.
Sahadi was arrested in Hamilton County, Tennessee. Details around the arrest are not yet known. Sahadi, who now works as a producer for Real American Freestyle, issued a statement to PWInsider which reads as follows:
“This matter began as a personal dispute between individuals who had known each other for years—this was not random criminal behavior, but a situation that escalated. What followed led to an unjust arrest based on allegations we believe to be false. The charges were dismissed at pre-trial and are in the process of being expunged. Mr. Sahadi, through counsel, is pursuing a civil action in excess of seven figures for defamation, corporate negligence, and the resulting harm.”
Local authorities have yet to comment on the matter as of this writing.
