August 9, 2024 | Posted by
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has details on the traditional PPV buys for this year’s WWE Summerslam, which happened last Saturday in Cleveland. It’s important to note that WWE has their events on Peacock, which has grown in subscribers, so more homes have access to it. They get traditional PPV sales primarily through rural areas with limited internet access.
The number is currently at 10,000, which is up 67.2% from Money in the Bank. Of those who bought this show, 7.1% bought AEW Forbidden Door and 38.2% bought Money in the Bank. Meanwhile, 1.3% also bought the Terrence Crawford vs. Israil Madrimov PPV event.
