Former RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff recently commented on Brock Lesnar’s return to WWE television this past August and his current role in the company.
After two years of absence, The Beast returned to WWE TV at SummerSlam Night Two, attacking John Cena after The Unseen 17’s Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes. He then went on to squash Cena at Wrestlepalooza and disappeared for several weeks. This past Monday, he made his presence felt on RAW, attacking CM Punk and his allies and joining Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, Drew McIntyre, and Logan Paul for the upcoming Men’s WarGames Match.
In a recent interaction with Action Network, Eric Bischoff said that Brock Lesnar is now a special attraction, akin to what The Undertaker and Hulk Hogan were during the later stages of their respective careers. Bischoff believes that Lesnar will thrive in his current role, and fans will get to see him wrestle a couple of times annually for the next two years.
“Brock Lesnar is now in that Undertaker category. He’s an attraction. And I think attractions have always worked. Hulk Hogan was an attraction for a long time. Undertaker, clearly an attraction. I think Brock’s role as an attraction is a solid one. I think it’s a valuable one. I think that we’ll see Brock throughout the year, a couple of times a year, similar to what we would expect to see from The Undertaker for the next couple of years,” he said.
Brock Lesnar will be in action at Survivor Series: WarGames on November 29. He will join Breakker, Reed, Paul, and McIntyre to battle Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, and The Usos inside the double-caged structure.
