WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff recently commented on John Cena’s ongoing Farewell Tour, stating that he is extremely pleased to see Cena get the opportunity to put an exclamation point on his legendary pro wrestling career.

During a recent interview with Action Network, Eric Bischoff was asked to comment on The Unseen 17’s final appearance on Monday Night RAW earlier this week. While Eric didn’t go into the specifics, he was just happy to see Cena get a chance to do something that very few performers receive the opportunity to do: end their career on their own terms. Bischoff also said that he has immense respect for the current Intercontinental Champion.

“I like John a lot. I have so much respect for John. I don’t know John really well; I don’t want to give the impression that we’re close friends. We’re friends. We exchange texts every once in a while. If I see him, I’m certainly happy to see him, and things like that, but I’m not close to him. But I have so much respect for him. John Cena, right now, is achieving something that very few performers ever get a chance to do, and that’s that he’s writing the last sentence of his story in professional wrestling. He gets to write the last sentence,” Eric said.

The veteran continued:

“He gets to put the period at the end of that sentence. And he gets to close that book and be proud of what he’s done. That’s such an accomplishment, and I’m so happy that John is experiencing that. He deserves to experience that. He’s worked so hard. He’s sacrificed so much. In ways that, you know, some we know about, ways we’ll never know about. He’s had to sacrifice.”

John Cena teamed up with Sheamus and Rey Mysterio to take on The Judgment Day in a six-man tag team match in his final appearance on RAW.

Eric Bischoff on who could possibly replace John Cena as the face of WWE

Bischoff was quick to mention Bron Breakker as Cena’s replacement. The veteran believes that The Vision member has the necessary discipline, unmatched athleticism, and charisma to be the next face of WWE.

“Bron Breakker [will replace John Cena as the biggest star] because of the discipline, the athleticism, and that elusive thing that you’re either born with or you’re not: charisma. He’s got it all.”

WWE has been projecting Bron Breakker as the future of the company over the past six to eight months. It will be interesting to see if Triple H and Co. crown him as World Heavyweight Champion in the coming months.
