The masked man was seemingly revealed on this week’s WWE Smackdown, and a new report has identity of the man who played the role. Friday night’s show saw the masked man angle take on a new twist as a man in a mask tried to attack Austin Theory on the outside during Logan Paul’s match with Jacob Fatu. Paul was battling Fatu for the opportunity to replace the attacked Jey Uso in the men’s Chamber match. However, when the man went after Theory, Paul decked him and then unmasked him to reveal an unknown person.
The Local Competitor on Twitter has revealed that the masked man is Don Furio, who has trained at Seth Rollins’ Black and Brave Wrestling Academy as well as Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall’s Nightmare Factory. Furio worked a match on AEW Dark back in 2022, teaming with B. Jack in a loss to The Acclaimed.
It’s not clear where the masked man angle goes from here. You can see a clip from the reveal below.
The masked man has been targeting The various members of The Vision since the Royal Rumble. He attacked Bron Breakker at the Rumble, causing him to be quickly eliminated from the Rumble, and has since gone after the other members of the stable in turn.
