Impact Wrestling News: Details On Impact Giving Mike Tenay Time For Hall of Fame Speech, Ace Steel Praised For Work As Producer, Last Night’s Taping Nearly Sold Out
– PWInsider reports that the planned dark match for Bound for Glory was pulled so there was time to tape the Knockouts match and time for the Hall of Fame ceremony. Everyone in the company wanted Mike Tenay to have enough time to talk about his career and honor Don West. It meant a lot to Impact to have Tenay at the event.
A source noted that they had been trying to get Tenay back or at least five years now, maybe longer. Some in the company hoped he would call a match and several talents actually went to Tenay and asked him to come out of retirement. Tenay reportedly told them that they were in good hands with Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt.
– Ace Steel was praised backstage for his work as a producer this past weekend.
– Last night’s TV taping almost sold out. There was a lot of Digital content filmed, including the return of the Turkey Suit Match.
