Iyo Sky Cashes in MITB on Newly Crowned Bianca Belair at WWE SummerSlam, Captures Women’s Title (Pics, Video)

– Bianca Belair overcame Charlotte Flair and Asuka to capture the WWE Women’s Championship tonight at WWE SummerSlam 2023. However, her victory was short-lived. After the match, Money in the Bank briefcase holder Iyo Sky cashed in her briefcase for an immediate title shot against Belair.

In short order, Iyo Sky defeated Belair to quickly win the title and become the new champion. After the match, Dakota Kai appeared and celebrated with Sky. As noted, Kai has recently been out of action and recovering from ACL surgery.

This marks the first WWE Women’s Championship of Iyo Sky’s career after she previously held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles twice with her Damage CTRL tag team partner Dakota Kai. She also previously held the NXT Women’s Championship on one occasion and the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles once with Zoey Stark. Iyo Sky’s title win also comes one year after she joined Bayley and Dakota Kai at WWE SummerSlam 2022, forming their new stable, which was later dubbed Damage CTRL.
