Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown will serve as a go-home show ahead of the Clash in Italy Premium Live Event. The show will emanate from the Olimpic Arena in Barcelona, Spain.
According to Rope Break, former WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill is currently slated to open tonight’s episode of the Friday Night Show. Cargill is set to challenge Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s Championship in Turin, Italy, on May 31. As noted previously, WWE announced earlier today that Cargill will deliver one final message to Ripley on tonight’s show.
Jade Cargill and Rhea Ripley have been embroiled in a bitter rivalry ever since The Eradicator won the 2026 Women’s Elimination Chamber match in Chicago to set up a WWE Women’s Championship bout between them at WrestleMania 42.
During the course of their rivalry, B-Fab and Michin shockingly turned heel and allied themselves with Jade. However, IYO SKY came to Rhea’s rescue, both during the Road to ‘Mania and at ‘Mania itself, helping Ripley dethrone Cargill.
After a few weeks of absence, Jade returned to SmackDown and went right after Rhea. The former Women’s Champion picked up a major win last weekend when she pinned Ripley in a six-woman tag team match.
Meanwhile, tonight’s SmackDown will air at 2 p.m. ET on Netflix internationally. However, it will air at its usual time in the US. 411Mania will have live coverage of the event.
