John Laurinaitis Files A Sworn Statement Regarding Janel Grant Lawsuit
A new update is in regarding the lawsuit stemming from the sexual abuse and sexual trafficking allegations made against Vince McMahon by former WWE employee Janel Grant in a new lawsuit. WWE and John Laurnatis are also attached to the suit.
Grant has agreed to pause her lawsuit for six months at the request of the Justice Department.
Last week, Laurinaitis filed a sworn statement requesting the lawsuit be moved to private arbitration. Laurinaitis filed a “sworn statement of facts” citing the following, courtesy of Fightful.com:
* As a full-time WWE employee at the time of Grant’s NDA with Vince McMahon and WWE, Laurinaitis “believed” he was a “released party” from any and all Lawsuits brought by Janel Grant.
* Per the terms of the Confidential Settlement Agreement, any issues that needed to be resolved would be required to take place in binding arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act.
