NXT Universe! Live tonight from the Mother Base is the Tuesday Night Delight! Tonight’s show should provide another opportunity for the brand to establish their card heading into Vengeance Day, and while the show is coming up this Saturday, there is still time to build anticipation and excitement for it!

Tonight’s show doesn’t show a lot of in-ring action (as of the time I am typing this), but we are slated to get an NXT Women’s Title Match, as Jacy Jayne will look to retain her title when she faces Zaria. How this match plays out after Zaria finally turned on Sol Ruca last week remains to be seen, as it would seem that Zaria is heading into a one-on-three battle to possibly win the Women’s Title.

Building up two different storylines and turning them into one, The Vanity Project, toting not only Evolve Men’s World Champion Jackson Drake but also new NXT Tag Team Champions Swipe Right, will face Shiloh Hill and his new best friends Hank and Tank. While we know that Hank and Tank are former tag team champions, it would appear that this stands to push them back into tag team title contention, while I am left to wonder if Hill goes after Drake’s Evolve Title.

Elsewhere on the show, in anticipation of his World Title match this Saturday against Joe Hendry, Ricky Saints will host the Absolute Experience, and Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley will have a face-to-face. And, given what has gone on between these ladies in the past, one has to wonder how this doesn’t end up in a brawl. All of this and, of course, so much more in store for us tonight!

So, how is everyone doing tonight? The Flyers have won three games in a row after beating the Rangers, Bruins, and Maple Leafs, and being four points behind Boston for the last wildcard spot, the playoff race is back on!

So, enough about me and enough about you, let’s get ready to chant the letters of N-X-T!

NXT

THEN!

NOW!

FOREVER!

TOGETHER!

Tonight, NXT is live from the Mother Base, as we approach this weekend’s Vengeance Day! As usual, Vic Joseph and Booker T will be on the call!

Recap of the events from last week. I mean, yeah, you don’t always have THREE title changes in one show, so let’s have ourselves a recap, shall we?

“HOLY CRAP!”
-Vic Joseph

Myles Borne is here to kick things off! Mike Rome puts some respect on that NEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW and Myle’s name, which is totally fair.

YOU DESERVE IT chants as Myles goes to speak. Damn, it feels good to hold this title and to hear my name as champion! Normally, the new champ comes out grateful and with his sob stories, but not tonight. We’ve already been down that road, and you know what he stands for and what he fights for. Instead of thanking his family and his fans for supporting him, he wants to thank his biggest hater for doubting him. Thank you, Ethan Page! You taught me that I lacked a killer instinct, but you just poured gasoline on a fire inside of me and you unleashed a demon. You push me, I push back, and I am boy scout and I damn sure am no angel. Can you hear me now?

Apparently, Ethan Page can! All he heard was thank you Ethan Page, because otherwise you would be that mild-mannered little boy standing here. Last week, you got lucky. Anyone can have a good night. Ethan had a bad night. But he’s had millions of good nights. He quickly became the NXT World Champion, the Triple AH champion, and he set records as North American Champion. If anyone deserves a rematch, it is me!

Myles knew that he would come out here, and he says he will give him his rematch. Page wants his shot tonight, but Robert Stone is here! He tells them to get some wrestling clothes on, but Page wants this match right now! Stone says get a referee down here as Vic makes a cliche set in stone joke. So funny.

NXT North American Title Match: Myles Borne vs. Ethan Page

Borne attacks Page at the bell and knocks his glasses off. Page fights back and beats on Borne in the corner, but Myles reverses this with a dropkick that sends Page to the outside. Borne double legs Page up on the table and hammers away as Booker yells for a ref lol. That’ll take us to the break.

Back in the ring, and Page turns the tables during the break. He grounds the champion and keeps up the attack as Borne gets to his feet. A running back elbow from Ethan gets him a two. Borne fights back with some punches, but he runs into a powerslam. That’s another two for the challenger.

Page, still wearing his black dress shirt by the way, grounds Borne with a headlock. Borne back to his feet, as he tries to elbow his way out of it. Page smacks him one and hits a Confidence Breaker for another two. Page pulls Borne to his feet but Borne counters with a reverse DDT.

Borne meets Page in the middle of the ring and lays in some punches and clotheslines. Borne tries to rip off Page’s shirt, but it won’t come off. Page does get his pant leg ripped off though, and he has his belt in hand! The ref takes the belt, but Page hits Borne with the belt buckle! The cover, but Myles kicks out at two.

Page’s pants are down now entirely and Borne applies the ankle lock! Page kicks him away, leaving Borne holding Ethan’s pants! He gives them to the ref, and in the chaos, he hits Page with his shoe! Borne Again, and that’s defense number one!
WINNER: Myles Borne (Still Champion)
TIME: 7:00
THOUGHTS: I mean, this was certainly a way to have a rematch, and once more, Borne outdid Page at his own game. Equal parts good match and goofiness with the pants spot.
RATING: ***1/4

Sarah Schriber wants a word with Zaria, as she asked her why she attacked Sol Ruca last week. Zaria says if you need to ask that question, then you already know why she did that. We see DarkState acting like fools and waiting for Tony D’Angelo to show up. Stone comes out and says that they can have Tony, but it has to be in the ring, as staff lead the guys inside. As soon as this happens, we see a car pull up, and Tony gets out!

Blake Monroe is walking! She will call out Miss Parker next!

COMMERCIALS!

Glamour is forever! Indeed, it is, as Blake Monroe is here to bless us with her presence. When Jaida Parker interrupted me on her big return, I expected to feel disrespected. When she cost me the Speed match against Thea Hail last week, I expected to feel rage. I expected to want to tear her apart piece by piece. But what she felt was revealing, shocking honestly. She realized something simple, and that is that Jaida Parker needs Blake Monroe. You can paint it like some kind of rivalry, but that’s just not the case. She just confirmed her value. The biggest thing a woman in NXT can do it interrupt Blake Monroe. She is the conversation, the controversy, the standard. When she competes, timelines light up and she is all the talk. They love to hate her more than they love Jaida.

Jaida is the kind of girl that acts on emotions and asks questions later, which isn’t scary. So she needs to step up to Blake to be relevant. Whether you want to admit it or not, this division revolves around Blake. She is going to do Jaida a bit of charity when she shares the ring with her at Judgment Day.

But Ms. Parker is here in the flesh! Oh, you got jokes, baby? I want to smack your face off, but you’re out here trying to put me down. You only exist because glamour is paranoid. But I’m real, baby, and all eyes are on me. And I can handle that, but you are a supporting act. You need the spotlight, and you need me, otherwise you’ll fade into the background.

Monroe cuts her off, but Parker tells her to shut her soft ass up. You don’t even believe the words you’re saying. Under that polished ego, you don’t believe in yourself. Ignore the “everyone hates the Glamour” talk and all you have is a pompous BITCH!

That earns Miss Parker a slap to the face, but it ends up being Jaida who sends Monroe from the ring. Officials are out here to separate them.

Ricky Saints and Ehtan Page are in the back, as Ricky tries to cheer him up. The Vanity Project are here, and Jackson Drake says they didn’t realize his rematch was tonight, they were busy getting ready for their 6-man match. They take off as quickly as the arrived, as Saints tries to cheer Ethan up. Ricky says he needs to drink his lemon juice and get ready for the Absolute Experience!

Wren Sinclair and Nikita Lyons will face off in the Women’s Speed Tourney next!

COMMERCIALS!

Sean Legacy and Eli Knight are talking about last week. Elio LeFleur is here to tout his Speed Title. Jasper Troy is here to say that he wants his Speed Title back. Josh Briggs is here for reasons, and he says Troy isn’t the best big man in NXT. Troy says he will smash Elio and Eli next week and then take his title back.

WWE Women’s Speed Tourney Match: Wren Sinclair vs. Nikkita Lyons

The bell rings, and three minutes are on the clock. Lyons with a roll-up early for a two. Sinclair goes behind Lyons, but she uses her botty to break the hold. Kicks from Lyons, she avoids a dropkick from Sinclair and hits a standing splash for a two.

Wren cuts off Nikkita and lands strikes and rolls her up for a two. Another roll-up for a two. Lyons with a straight shot to the gut and a snap suplex that gets her a two. Sinclair to her feet and she lands strikes. She ducks a roundhouse from Lyons and slaps her. Sinclair off the ropes with a running clothesline.

One minute to go, as Lyons tries the splits on the apron, but Wren moves. Wren dropkicks her to the floor and returns to the ring. Lyons with a rearview though! Lyons with the cover, but Sinclair reverses it for a two. Wren posts Lyons, Belly-to-back suplex, and Wren with The Final Wrench! Lyons taps out!
WINNER: Wren Sinclair
TIME: 2:55
THOUGHTS: And this win sends Wren on to face Thea Hail, with the winner facing Fallon Henley in two weeks. A good match, but always hard to grade these matches due to the way that they run them.
RATING: ***1/4

Myles Borne is sitting in the back. Here comes Joe Hendry to congratulate him on his title win last week. Borne says that he really liked Hendry’s chronicles from last week, and Hendry says that he was a motivation to him. Borne says one advantage to being deaf is that he won’t be able to hear Ricky sing tonight. Hendry wishes that he was deaf too, which appears to offend Borne, but he turns around and does a Hendry pose. He says Joe isn’t the only one with a sense of humor around here!

Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley will meet face-to-face next!

COMMERCIALS!

Vic shills WWE World returning to Las Vegas next month in anticipation of WrestleMania weekend.

Progressive Spotlight is on Kelani Jordan! She is here to learn from the best ahead of her underground match with Lola Vice. She’s going to learn from Shayna Baszler! Shayna puts her through some exercises and workouts as she questions if Jordan wants this. She says Lola is everything that she claims she is, and it ends with Jordan kicking Baszler in the head.

It’s time for the face-to-face. Izzi says that being here must bring back memories for Tatum. Paxley says there are no Nico and Shawn, but Izzi says that they know she is safe, and if you touch her, then you lose a shot at her title. Izzi wants to remind Tatum that, while she was the one running around with a chainsaw, she was the one who took advantage and won the North American Title. Dame says that Tatum keeps saying there is another side of her and she wants her to bring this out. She says Lyra left her, and Izzi left her. She is a shell of who she used to be and she is pathetic. There is no new version of Tatum, she is incapable of being fixed.

Tatum wants to let Izzi know that nothing lasts forever. All the pain and manipulation, it will end. She thought winning the Women’s Title would be the greatest day of her life, but it wasn’t. Nothing will compare when she takes that North American Title from Izzi, and then you will learn that she isn’t meant to be played with.

Tatum hands Izzi her doll and walks off. Dame losses her mind and breaks the doll and smashes the dollhouse.

PEOPLE ARE FIGHTING EVERYWHERE! CHAOS! PANDIMONIUM! SO MUCH SO THAT IT GOES TO BREAK!

The Vanity Project vs. Shiloh Hill, Hank, and Tank

The fighting ensues during the break as the bell hasn’t officially rung, according to Vic. The Vanity Project takeover and they try and murder Hill with the ring steps, but he gets out of the way. All six guys get into the ring and fight it out. Security and Robert Stone are here to break it up. Vanity Project chill on the floor as he tells everyone to go to their corner.

And the bell rings officially, as Ricky Smokes and Hank will start this off. Hank hammers away on Smokes in the corner. Smokes tries to counter, but Hank takes over again. Hank misses a flying smash, allowing Ricky the chance to smack Hank around. Smokes off the ropes but he eats the red boot of Hank.

Hank takes in Tank and it’s time to go HONK HONK! Three-point stance and a corner lariat get Tank a two. Tank misses an elbow drop, and Jackson Drake tags in. He poses and then grabs Tank and lands some knees. Tank reverses and tags in Hank. Misdirection leads to a shoulder tackle from Hank for a two.

Hill is in the match now, as he hits a double shoulder tackle with Hank for another two. Drake slaps Hill, but Shiloh laughs it off literally. He runs over Drake, as Brad Baylor goes over and saves Drake from getting smashed in the corner. Keanu Carver is here! He tells Booker to tell his boy to keep his name out of his mouth! Vic speculates that he means Jasper Troy, but we get no more clues.

While this is going on, Hank and Tank are removing their hockey jerseys and taking Baylor to Pity City lol. Smokes runs into the same mess, and Hill drops Drake. Hank, Tank, and Hill all hit a scoop slam in stereo. Hank chases Smokes around the ring, Ricky gets back into the ring, and Baylor hits a running knee strike. We see Jacy Jayne getting ready in the back as Booker losses his damn mind. Frankly, I don’t blame him.

Hank eats a buckle bomb from Swipe Right, but Hank is able to avoid their follow-up offense and tags in Tank. Tank takes on all of Vanity Project and does a cartwheel. Fighting ensues on the floor, while in the ring, Tank rams Baylor’s head into the corner. Drake distracts the ref, as Smokes and Baylor trap Hank against the apron with the ring steps. Drake hits a running dropkick, and they pose as we head out for break.

Vanity Project take turns working over Tank in the ring, as it appears that Hank was able to free himself from the makeshift trap outside the ring. Flatliner from Drake and a dropkick from Smokes gets them a two. Drake with a headlock on Hank as the fans chant HONK. Hank tries to get up, but Drake brings him back down to the mat.

Hank back to his feet again, he elbows his way free, but Vanity Project work to keep him away from his corner. It isn’t successful though, and Hill gets into the match. Shiloh wrecks the Vanity Project, and he hits a front flip splash to both Baylor and Smokes for a two. Hill tags in Tank, as Drake picks him up and drops him with front face slam!

Everyone is in now and they hit their shit. It’s down to Tank and Drake, and Tank hits the Bossman Slam! Tag to Hank, they look to go HONK HONK, and Drake gets smashed! Hank and Tank take out Swipe Right on the floor, and Hill hits Drake with the pop-up neckbreaker for the win!
WINNER: Hank, Tank, and Shiloh Hill
TIME: 13:45
THOUGHTS: It was fine. Vanity Project could take this loss here since none of their titles were on the line. I suppose now that sets up Hill to challenge for Drake’s Evolve title. Also, Hank and Tank have become formulaic to the point that’s just tedious.
RATING: ***

Blake Monroe

is here and has appeared on the announce table. Congratulations, Jaida, you brought out the hell in the Glamour! At Vengeance Day, it will be a Street Fight! Jaida arrives and they want to fight, but Hank, Tank, and Hill break them up, making them forever heels.

Speaking of chaos and fights, we see Osiris Griffin has been knocked out in the back! The rest of DarkState swear Tony’s name, and Dion Lennox says he is going to call Tony out!

COMMERCIALS!

Doctor Nick is telling Lola Vice about the hand injury that she suffered. Basically, he says that if she goes through with the Underground match, that it could result in serious and permanent damage. Lola says that she signed the waiver and she is going to the Underground. Doctor Nick wishes her good luck.

Dion Lennox isn’t here to waste time and he calls out Tony D’Angelo. Tony appears in the crowd. The hunter has become the hunted, how does that feel? He had everything taken from him last year, and he told them that he was going to do the same thing to them. He is going to take their dreams and shatter them. Saturday is Vengeance Day, how fitting, because he is going to cash in on his second promise when he takes DarkState out for good.

Lennox says there is a Tony D’Angelo sized road bump in his way, and he will run him over and then go for the NXT World Title. On Saturday, you better be ready when you step foot on this property, because it’s on! You will get what is coming to this Saturday.

Tony says he is ready to beat Dion’s ass and drag his lifeless body to the ring. Because on Saturday, one of the two reasons that he returned to NXT will be complete.

Sarah has Fatal Influence in the back. Jacy says the only thing that she is trying to avoid is being caught in the middle of this ZaRuca breakup. No way that Sol is going to let her get a title shot, and if she does, Falloon and Lainey will be ready for whatever they try to pull.

The hot mean girls walk out now, and that title match is coming up next!

COMMERICALS!

Shill for Vengeance Day this Saturday at 7:00PM EST!

The first hour of WrestleMania night one and two will be live on ESPN!

Tavion Heights and Charlie Dempsey are in the back. Myles Borne is here to thank both of them for getting him to this point. Borne leaves, and The Birthright are here. Uriah says he took care of Kale last week, and they want Charlie to join them. Heights calls them clowns, and Ariana says that they are not clowns, they are successful. They leave, as Lexis says TICK TICK TICK!

Zaria is here and it’s time to go!

NXT Women’s World Title Match: Jacy Jayne (C) vs. Zaria

Mike Rome with the in-ring introductions for this one. I also notice that there is 28 minutes left in the show, and I don’t feel like this match is going to do that long.

Jayne and Zaria look around as the bell rings. Jayne attacks Zaria from behind, but she runs into a goozle and a toss into the corner. Zaria rams Jacy with her shoulder, and the champion shoves her away. Jayne with a snap rana and a cartwheel. Zaria tries to overpower Jayne, but Jacy rolls her up for a two. Zaria picks up Jayne for a powerbomb, but Jayne lands on her feet only to eat a big boot.

Zaria slams Jayne’s head into the mat as Booker losses his mind again. Zaria with a stalling vertical suplex to Jayne. Zaria tries to King Kong Jayne and carry her to the top rope, but Jayne escapes out to the apron. Zaria off the top with a shoulder tackle and she goes back to choking out Jayne on the floor. Zaria makes the mistake of heading to the outside, where Henley distracts Zaria long enough for Reid to save Jayne from a spear, causing Zaria to hit the ring steps. That’ll take us to the break.

Jayne hits the challenger with a pair of back splash sentons for a two during the break. Jayne keeps Zaria grounded but makes the mistake of trying to suplex her. Zaria finds some momentum only for Jayne to catch her in an octopus hold. Zaria with a hip toss to free herself, but she can’t follow up with a suplex due to the shoulder. Jayne hits a running double arm smack to Zaria, then proceeds to ram her knee into the challenger’s back.

Jayne grounds Zaria with a body scissors. Zaria gets to her feet, but Jayne brings her back to the mat and torques on the upper back of her challenger. Zaria back to her feet with Jayne still attached as she rams her into the corner. Jayne to the top, but Zaria with a straight up SMACK to the face of Jayne. Zaria heads to the top and hits a Superplex!

WOMEN’S WRESTLING as both ladies get to their feet and shots are traded. Despite the bad shoulder, Zaria wins out and whips Jayne around the ring a couple of time. Zaria hits a release overhead suplex. Lariat from Zaria, but that’s just a two. Zaria runs into a back elbow from Jayne and traps Zaria in the corner. She takes way too long following up though, allowing Zaria to hit a knee strike.

Zaria looks for a lariat, but she misses and Jayne hits a running knee strike. The cover, but Zaria kicks out at two. Jayne looking Rolling Encore, but a SPEAR from Zaria! Sol Ruca is here! She takes out both Henley and Reid on the floor before entering the ring and hitting a double Sol Snatcher to Zaria and Jayne! That leads to a no contest.
WINNER: No one/No Contest
TIME: 10:50
THOUGHTS: I feel like there were a couple of different ways we could have done this, but due to them painting this match into a corner, Ruca coming down and just interfering in the match was probably the right call. I’m guessing that, if not this Saturday, then very soon we will get a 3-way dance for the title.
RATING: ***1/2

Ricky Saints is walking and enjoying that lemon tea, as the Absolute Experience is up next!

COMMERCIALS!

NXT is coming back to Madison Square Garden on March 31st, which Vic says is next month. Yeah, okay man.

We get a rundown of events from tonight’s show. Vic launches into the matches for Saturday’s Vengeance Day event. I will say that having three women’s matches on the show should make it a good one.

Sarah and Robert are in his office. She wants to know what he plans to do about the women’s title matches not having a conclusion. Stone shills the advance ticket sales for Stand and Deliver before saying that he will make an announcement at Vengeance Day.

It’s time for an Absolute Experience with Ricky Saints! Ricky has stools, a mic, and an acoustic guitar in the ring! Dearly beloved, we are gathered in the ring for a once in a lifetime experience hosted by a once in a lifetime performer, ME! If you saw him last week on Wildcards, then you know that Ricky is a very talented thespian. And since Joe Hendry had his concert, he will do the same. So, without further ado, let’s get the absolute experience on the road! Production, lights!

The lights go out and a circle

He can’t relate to desperation!

Oh wait, he has a lot of songs written.

Make Joe Hendry disappear, I believe in Ricky! I believe in Ricky!

That’s great, right? We put the picture on the Titantron and you make fun of your opponents. Alright, no more games. Ricky can’t get into a flow, so he needs a stagehand to bring him a chair. He gets a steel chair instead.

He has no fashion, no style, it hurts my eyes when I see him wear that shirt. That’s why I believe in Ricky! We believe in Ricky!

Yes, thank you! He was able to rhyme hurt and shirt! He wants the Jabroni to fix the mic lol. He admonishes the fans and tells them to wear deodorant LOL!

The blonde hair, his beard, it doesn’t go, he looks like the guy from the cooking show, don’t believe in Joe Hendry, because he looks like Guy Fieri!

Now Ricky needs a new guitar lol. This Saturday is a special day for Ricky. The stagehand won’t let go of the guitar, and the man takes off his hat and it’s Joe Hendry! Hendry smacks Ricky with the guitar! Hendry is ambushed by the Vanity Project! Myles Borne is here, and they clean house of the Vanity Project and Saints! They pose with their respective titles and with that, we are done!
