On the latest episode of Kliq This, Kevin Nash talked about his recent comments about CM Punk and how Punk turned him around with last week’s Raw. Nash was previously critical of Punk’s work, but he changed his opinion around with his promo from last week.
Nash noted that Punk’s promo against Breakker was “fantastic” and suggested Punk may have a better babyface promo than a heel promo. You can check out some highlights from Nash’s comments below:
On The Vision:
“I like the addition of Theory to [The] Vision. I think it’s a better look with four of them.”
On Breakker:
“I thought that — I’m just going to call him Bronson Steiner… So I thought his promo work was strong. I thought he really stepped up.”
On Being Impressed By CM Punk:
“At the same time, it’s just like — he was really good. And then you give the f**king mic to Phil, and it’s another level. And I f**king think that Phil is a better babyface promo than he is a f**king heel promo.”
On the Difference From the Week Before:
“When he said that he wasn’t ready to not be the champion. He wasn’t ready to say, ‘It’s a great day to be alive and be in Orlando,’ that whole — you know what I mean? It didn’t feel contrived, it felt f**king sincere, like a lot of people try to deliver [that kind of promo]. He’s really — he’s wonderful on the mic, he’s fantastic.
“So from the week before when, you know, I did comment on the T-shirt and I thought his work looked a little slow. But we talked about the show before that. You said, ‘Do you think Bron Breakker will go over?’ I think I said, ‘I don’t think, I think we still need Punk to f**king fill that right void for a while.’ And last week I said, ‘I don’t know, if he’s gonna work like that maybe [Bron] should beat him. Now he won me back this week, because he was strong, but he didn’t work.”
CM Punk is currently one of the centerpieces in WWE as the company builds to the Royal Rumble. Punk is the current World Heavyweight Champion, formerly held the WWE Championship, and is one of the most iconic stars in WWE history. Punk is also a former ECW Champion.
