Backstage Update on Kyle Fletcher Following Injury Scare During AEW Collision Taping

An update on the status of former AEW TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher amid an injury scare during last night’s Collision taping.
As noted previously, AEW taped this week’s episode of Collision from the Viejas Arena in San Diego, California, after Dynamite went off the air last night.
Fletcher was in action at the show, battling El Phantasmo in a singles bout. Though the ProtoStar was able to emerge victorious, fans in attendance felt Kyle had injured himself during the match.
However, that doesn’t seem to be the case, as Bryan Alvarez reported to his X subscribers earlier today that sources within the company claimed that Fletcher is not injured and the issue may have been because of dehydration.
“Although multiple fans reported tonight that Kyle Fletcher appeared to have been injured doing his match on Collision, we’ve been told he appears to be fine. And it was likely just dehydration,” Alvarez said./blockquote>
Kyle Fletcher recently returned to in-ring action following a meniscus injury he suffered earlier this year. He participated in the Steel Cage match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door last weekend.
The Australian is set to challenge Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW International Championship at Dynamite: Beach Break next Wednesday night.
