LA Smooth Says That Lance Anoa’i Is With NXT

UPDATE: Lloyd Anoa’i has reached out to 411 to clarify that he was “just going by what the internet says” and was not confirming that Lance is in NXT.

ORIGINAL: LA Smooth, aka Lloyd Anoa’i, says that Lance Anoa’i is “with NXT right now.” The Anoa’i family is a massive part of WWE with the Bloodline story playing out on WWE Smackdown, and LA Smooth noted in an interview with that Lance is with the company as part of the developmental brand.

Smooth was asked which member of the family he’d like to see signed and said (per Fightful), “Jacob Fatu, my nephew, I was waiting for them to pick him up. I’m so blessed. My other nephew, Lance Anoa’i, he’s with NXT right now. And one that I have right now that I’ll fit, I would actually put my own son in there, because I’m training him. He’s 17 years old, he’s 6’4 and he hasn’t stopped growing. So, you know, could be part of our third generation.”

It was reported last week that Lance signed with the company this summer after exiting MLW earlier in the year. WWE has yet to confirm his signing.
