Layla Names Her Favorite Opponents From WWE Run

Layla recently weighed in on who her favorite opponents were during her time in WWE. Layla was a major part of the Divas division and worked with a number of wrestling talent. She spoke with Fightful’s Kate Elizabeth at WrestleCon last month and during the conversation she was asked about her favorite opponents, naming expected stars like Michelle McCool and Eve Torres as well as one that might surprise people in Aksana.

“When I was active, my favorite-favorite is Kelly Kelly,” Layla said. “Kelly Kelly and I started together. We started in ECW when we were dancing together and training, and wrestling, and I loved our matches. I was able to look at her and walk out there and we knew exactly what we were gonna do. I love working Michelle McCool. I miss my friend. I love working Michelle. There’s so many matches.”

She continued, “I enjoyed working with a lot of girls. I enjoyed working with Eve Torres on matches. But those are the girls I think that stand out the most. We’ve had the most matches with them. Oh, and Aksana, I used to have amazing matches with Aksana.”

Layla retired from the ring in 2015 after nine years with WWE.
