-I got to this one late as my family had been away since last Sunday. They got back a few hours ago from a trip to Kitty Hawk, NC and had to help my wife get things back in order. It’s 12 AM in Western PA and time for Main Event. Away we go!

-Announce Team: Blake Howard and Byron Saxton

Kit Wilson vs. Erik Rowan

-Wow, a Wyatt Sicks appearance on Main Event. They get a strong reaction and the entrance is always cool. Love that song as well! Sucks to be Kit, but he is confident as he flexes and swivels the hips. He gets a side headlock and avoids a clothesline, elbow, and spinning first. He dances again on the ropes, but eventually gets run down with a shoulder. Kit flips out of a suplex and hits a rebound clothesline. Rowan just stares at him. Kit tries a slap and Rowan yells only one person is allowed to slam him. Kit gets sent to the floor and turns around to see The Wyatt Sicks. He calls them freaks and gets run down by Rowan again. Rowan misses a running boot in the corner and Kit goes after the bad wheel. Nice pump kick from Wilson. He avoids another suplex and continues attacking the leg. Tornado DDT is blocked and Rowan throws Kit on his face. Choke slam ends it at 3:33.

Winner: Erik Rowan via pin at 3:33
-Little more than a SQUASH as Kit got some token offense. The crowd loved the Wyatt Sicks though and it was a nice surprise for this show. *

-John Cena! One Last Match! SNME! My work Christmas Party is that night, so I will have to check it out later.

-Peacock commercials!

-Back to RAW at MSG as John Cena has both his final RAW and last appearance at MSG. The crowd loves him and he gets a tremendous reaction that you can tell meant a lot to Cena. Our AAA Mega Champion, Dirty Dom, interrupts and wants an IC Title rematch. Cena is ready to go, but Dom wants it on his home turf in San Diego. We know what Cena is doing at Survivor Series now. I still think The Vision needs to take out a member of Team Punk at Survivor Series and have Cena fill in just to get War Games off his bucket list. Cena obviously needs a match for his last time at MSG and we end up with a 6 Man Tag. Fair enough as Balor and JD can say they had a match against Cena and Rey and Sheamus can be part of his final run as well as his tag partners.

-We cut to that match with hot tag to John Cena and he gets to run through his offense on JD, who was probably smiling inside. Just a fun party match that they would run to Main Event house shows back in the day. Team Cena gets the win because DUH! It would have been a sweet payoff to what happened in Australia if Cena got to hit a 619.

-Survivor Series: War Games commercial!

-Peacock commercials!

-Back to RAW as Alexa Bliss is a bit annoyed that Charlotte Flair is avoiding her after backing out of War Games. Asuka and crew are out which also brings out Rhea and Iyo. Team Bliss is still out numbered and here comes Charlotte to save her best friend. We seem to have four each side now.

-Speaking of each team needing a fifth member, we go right to Becky Lynch defending her IC Title against Maxxine Dupris on RAW. They got me here as I didn’t think they would pull the trigger. AJ Lee returns and distracts Becky enough that Maxxine can hit a cross-body off the top for the upset of the year. Good for Maxxine as she had been working hard on Main Event for years and now gets her first major shot. Becky and AJ continue their issues and I think they need a cage to settle this. Good thing Survivor Series has two cages.

-CM Punk WrestleMania commercial! Everyone is playing a character, but him. “I’m not the dealer. I’m not the mark.” HE’S SHOOTING!

-Peacock commercials!

Otis (w/ Tozawa) vs. Rusev

-BIG MEATY MEN SLAPPING MEAT! Lockup and Rusev gets a waist lock. He transitions to a side headlock and gets pushed off. They collide and neither man budges. Rusev goes to the throat and lands a head kick. He tries a suplex but Otis blocks and hits a nice delayed vertical suplex. Slam gets two, but he misses a charge and goes shoulder first into the post. He possibly caught the side of his head as well as we see him talking to the ref. We take a break at 1:38.

-WWE Shop commercial!

-45 seconds of Peacock commercials!

-Back at 2:57 and Rusev hits a spinning heel kick for two. Rusev throws elbows to a seated Otis. Shoulders to the back and he follows up with leg kicks. Loud kick to the back and that made me grimace. Rusev continues with the heavy offense as he throws body shots. Running splash in the corner, but he runs into an elbow in the opposite corner. Otis rolls out of the corner and hits a clothesline. Another clothesline and another one. Spinning elbow followed by a splash in the corner. Caterpillar is teased to a big pop, but Rusev rolls to the floor and throws Tozawa into the post. Otis throws Rusev back in the ring and hits another splash. Now The Caterpillar connects and gets two. Otis up for the Vader Bomb, but Rusev rakes the face and brings Otis down with a one arm powerbomb. MACHKA KICK finishes at 7:23.

Winner: Rusev via pin at 7:23
-Good enough HOSS FIGHT for this show. Rusev getting the win makes sense as he is still in the Cena Tournament. **1/2

-Back to SmackDown last week as Drew McIntyre helps The Vision and Logan Paul to reveal himself as the 4th Man for their team at Survivor Series.

-Back to RAW as Heyman tells Aldis and Pearce he did what was allowed by the rules. He hands both GM’s the contract he has signed by the fifth man on his team and they don’t look happy.

-This January SmackDown and SNME head to Montreal!

-Peacock commercials!

-Back to RAW as the 8 Men we know for War Games have a face-to-face that turns into a brawl. Brock Lesnar makes his return and is the 5th man for Team Heyman. He wrecks everyone until Roman Reigns makes his return and is the 5th member of Team Punk. Brock and Roman rekindle their rivalry and it has been some time so I assume they won’t resist having a solo match between the two down the line. Just a tremendous ending to RAW and War Games should be amazing.

-Thanks for reading!

Not as good as we had been getting with this show, but the star power was a little better than normal. An okay show and nothing more.
