Former WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan recently appeared on TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast to discuss her monumental Royal Rumble victory in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, her journey from an ambitious rookie to one of WWE’s top stars, and more.
During the conversation, CJ Perry, i.e., Lana, asked Morgan whether she had pitched for her WWE documentary, which came out a few years ago. In 2020, the WWE Network released “Liv Forever.” The documentary detailed Morgan’s journey from enduring a rough childhood to becoming a WWE Superstar and her transition from being a part of the Riott Squad to going solo.
Morgan also described her journey as a motivation for people who are struggling to achieve their goals.
Below are the highlights:
Morgan reveals if she pitched for “Liv Forever” and its original plans
“No, I didn’t pitch that. It was really just supposed to be like my transition from breaking up with the Riott Squad and being drafted over to SmackDown solo. But then I was being used, so they just kept filming for the entirety of me not being used, and that just ended up being like 10 months. So what was supposed to be a piece on my transition from RAW with the Riott Squad to SmackDown by myself turned into this documentary of my hiatus into re-debuting on WWE TV. So kind of just like a pretty little mistake. It wasn’t supposed to be that.”
Liv Morgan offers advice to people struggling to achieve their goals
“I do verge on the side of optimism. I think positive thinking is so crucial to your performance and to how you feel, especially by yourself, so I always try to be kind to myself. But also, I think a lot of things come into factor, like how bad you really want it. If you want it as bad as you’re saying you want it, like, you will outlast whatever circumstances that come your way. And I wanted so badly to be successful here in WWE that it didn’t matter to me how long it took or how I was being used. Because I knew ultimately, at the end of the day, the cream would rise to the top, and I firmly believe that when all’s said and done, I will have my time, I will have my moments, and I was just patient; I was just patient. I put my head down, I got to work, I did whatever that was asked of me, and luckily for me, it paid. Maybe it doesn’t pay off in the timeline that you want it to, but I really believe if you stick with it, it will pay off eventually at the end of the day. So I would just say, just keep on pushing and just be undeniable.”
