Liv Morgan is on the top of the world currently. The former WWE Women’s World Champion has kicked off 2026 on the best possible note, having won the Royal Rumble match to earn a world championship match at WrestleMania 42.
Liv recently appeared on TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast, where she talked about her monumental victory in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, last month. During the course of the conversation, The Judgment Day member also commented on how she handles social media criticism, her learnings from 2025, and whether she is ready for another world championship reign.
Below are the highlights:
Liv Morgan on social media criticism
“Yeah, honestly, and I mean, like, this respectfully, I don’t really care about your criticism. If you’re not my boss, if you’re someone I’m asking critique for [sic], if you’re not my boss, I respectfully don’t care about what you have to say or what your opinion is. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, you know; all opinions are welcome. But it doesn’t affect me, whether it’s positive or negative, because I only care about what my boss is saying.”
On whether she is ready to be entrusted with another world championship reign by WWE top brass
“I was born ready. I was born ready. I said 2026 is the year of The Judgment Day, and I fully mean that. We are coming for everything this year that they said we couldn’t have or that we weren’t good enough for it. Everything is mine. So, yes, I’m ready. Yes, I’m excited. I’m going to walk out of WrestleMania a champion. Which one? I don’t know. But I will walk out of WrestleMania a champion.”
Her learnings from 2025
“I think, overall, I’m just trying to be more present and more grounded. I feel like, in this business, it’s always, like, about what’s next? What’s next? What’s next? And I feel a lot of moments; maybe I don’t get to appreciate them enough, or they kind of pass me by because I’m also focused on what’s next? What’s next? I always want to outdo myself or be ahead of the curve or be prepared. But I really try to just settle, which is why I forgot to point at the WrestleMania sign. I really am trying to just settle in the moment and be grounded and be grateful and, like, acknowledge that these opportunities that I get to have are amazing and allow myself to, like, feel that in the moment. I don’t know if that’s a lesson, but that’s definitely something that is a recurring theme that I’m actively trying to be conscious of.
“I don’t want all these amazing moments to pass me by, and then I’m like an old wrinkly woman realizing that I didn’t acknowledge my victories enough in the moment. But now all of those moments have passed me, you know, and I wish maybe I had spent a little more time celebrating that. I’m just trying to enjoy the journey and hope that the destination is what I want. But definitely enjoying the journey.”
