Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson Reportedly Turn Down Multi-Million Dollar Deals to Stay With WWE
– It appears as of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson will be heading somewhere else when their WWE contracts expire this fall. PWInsider has confirmed with multiple sources that Gallows and Anderson have turned down multi-million dollar deals to extend their contracts, and intend to leave the company after their current deals expire.
According to the site, WWE officials approached the two well in advance of their contracts being up to attempt to re-sign them, but that after multiple meetings they have turned down their deals. The reason is apparantly due to their booking, as they not been given any high-profile feuds or storylines in the past couple of years. WWE also dropped their planned WWE Network series Botch Club after one episode. Their contracts are up in late September and minds could be changed by then, but as of now, the word among talent is that they intend to depart the company.
One source said the pair aren’t being booked for live events anymore after initial meetings failed to reach a new deal, though they have been brought to live TV tapings.
The team joined WWE back in April of 2016 with a lot of hype as signees from New Japan Pro Wrestling, but have not been used much since. The two would be a big signing for NJPW to bring back home, or for the likes of All Elite Wrestling, ROH or Impact Wrestling.
