Marina Shafir Cuts Promo at DEFY Event, Says Her Own Household Doubted Her Work

Marina Shafir cut a promo after her match at last night’s DEFY event, where she spoke about the work she’s put in for her career. Shafir has been DEFY women’s champion for almost 500 days and defeated Hyan last night.

In the promo (via Fightful), she said: “I haven’t said a fucking thing until right now. I’m happy, I’m fucking so glad that I stayed shut the fuck up and kept putting in the goddamn work. My own household doubted me. Can you fucking believe that? My own household. Then I came here. Everybody wants something to believe in and I came here wanting to believe. And you all let me know where I belonged. Thank you. I wish you guys could fucking even get a little peek of what the fuck I have seen in the last year and a half. Selfish. Selfish little fucking bitches, left and right. Left and right, afraid to get dirty. Afraid to get a little fucking messy and build some character. Defy. Defy.
