Mark Henry Weighs In On MJF & Jeff Jarrett Segment From AEW Dynamite
Mark Henry shared his thoughts on the segment between Jeff Jarrett and MJF on this week’s Dynamite. The segment saw Jarrett and MJF have a back and forth on the mic, with MJF criticizing Jarrett for not entering the Casino Gauntlet match and taking shots at his past alcohol issues and Karen Jarrett and Jarrett firing off his own insults at MJF. MJF eventually mentioned Owen Hart which led to Jarrett attacking Hart.
Henry shared his thoughts on the heated segment on Busted Open Radio and you can see highlights below (per Wrestling Inc):
On the segment turning physical at the Owen Hart mention: “I knew he was gonna get his ass kicked when he mentioned Owen [Hart]. There are things you just don’t talk about. You don’t talk about people’s kids, their momma, their best friend, their dog, their cat, you leave their personal loves alone unless you want a fist to the mouth.”
On Jarrett’s verbal shots at MJF in the segment: “I thought it was good for Jeff to point out MJF being an ‘also-ran.’ He went there. I don’t see it all the way being true but storyline-wise, if they don’t start MJF back up, he’s gonna be like everybody else.”
On MJF losing a bit of his aura since he lost the World Title: “Roman Reigns is still Roman Reigns, MJF is not. And it’s not MJF’s fault. The reason that that segment was successful was because of MJF and because of Jeff Jarrett.”
