As previously reported, Matt Cardona made a shocking return to WWE last night on SmackDown, beating Kit Wilson. Later on, Cardona reacted to his victory on social media, writing, “I’M NOT FINISHED!”

Wilson trashed the Buffalo fanbase before Cardona made his appearance, beating Wilson in just over four minutes after Radio Silence. During his appearance, Michael Cole revealed that Nick Aldis signed Cardona to the roster.

Cardona had previously worked the November 14 edition of SmackDown under his old WWE ring name of Zack Ryder, competing against LA Knight in the opening round of The Last Time Is Now Tournament. Knight picked up the win to advance in the tournament.

Matt’s now back in WWE with a new contract, but this time, he’s no longer Zack Ryder in an interesting development. Matt Cardona first signed with WWE in 2005, later getting released in 2020.
