Matt Cardona No Longer Set For Superpower Slam Benefit Show Due to ‘Unforeseen Circumstances’

Matt Cardona has withdrawn from Orange Crush’s Superpower Slam benefit show following his official return to WWE. As previously reported, Cardona returned to the company on Friday’s episode of WWE Smackdown. The former Indy God is signed to WWE, and Orange Crush announced on Wednesday that Cardona will no longer be appearing on the show.

The Company noted that Crona will “pad the lope” for whoever replaces him at the show, where he was set to face Billie Starkz. The full announcement reads:

Matt Cardona has informed us that due to unforeseen (but very exciting) circumstances he won’t be able to appear on the benefit show.

That said, Cardona has promised to “pad the lope” for whoever replaces him at Melrose with the bounty provided to him to take out JCW World Champion Billie Starkz.

He said he also “might even donate a little to charity” if they are successful.

Who replaces Cardona at Melrose?

Cardona retweeted the announcement, writing: “Who will replace me?”

The show takes place on February 1st at the Melrose Ballroom in New York City. Cardona also relinquished the ACW World Championship following his WWE return.
