Mercedes Mone added another title to her collection of women’s championship belts Sunday night in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She defeated Jody Threat, who is currently working for TNA Wrestling, to become the Winnipeg Professional Wrestling Women’s Champion. This brings Mone’s total of current championships held to twelve, which has smashed Ultimo Dragon’s record of ten.
After the win, Mone declared herself the “best to ever do it” in a social media post that features her with all 12 of her championship belts, counting money, with the caption: “The best to ever do it! 12 belts MONÉ 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑 🩷🖤”
Mone also won the Interim ROH Women’s TV Championship from Mina Shirikawa at AEW’s WrestleDream event on Saturday in St. Louis. Friday night saw Mone successfully defend the CMLL Women’s Championship against Persephone. She has targeted the AEW Women’s World Championship as her next conquest, this title is currently held by Kris Statlander. Statlander had a successful defense against Toni Storm on Saturday night at WrestleDream. Banks & Statlander interacted after each other’s matches, so a showdown between them seems to be on the horizon.
Other titles currently held by Mercedes Mone include the Chaotic Wrestling Women’s Championship, the Discovery Wrestling Women’s Championship, the EWA Women’s Championship, the Bodyslam Women’s Championship, and of course the AEW TBS Championship, which Mone has held longer than anyone. It’s certainly been a productive 2025 for the CEO.
