More On Edge Trying To Get Cleared For WWE Return And If He Negotiated With AEW

The story of Edge and a possible in-ring return continues. It was reported yesterday that Edge had actually been cleared to wrestle again, but the former WWE champion took to Twitter to deny the rumors (although he did not address them specifically). He wrote: “No I’m not and no I’m not.” This all came after he recently re-signed with WWE.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, while Edge has not actually been cleared, he is working on trying to get cleared. Meltzer added that while he doesn’t know if Edge actually negotiated with AEW to get leverage in his recent WWE talks, he said that WWE believes that he did.

As the previous report noted, the WWE creative team is working under the assumption that Edge won’t get cleared.
