MVP has signed a new deal with All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
The Hurt Syndicate member recently interacted with Adventure Gamers. During the interaction, MVP revealed that he has re-signed a deal with the Tony Khan-led company. The former WWE Superstar expressed his gratitude toward Khan and said that he’ll be with All Elite Wrestling for “quite a while,” indicating that he may also take up a backstage role in the future.
“I do want to say this. I want to say thank you to Tony Khan, because recently I signed an extension, and I’ll be with AEW for quite a while in my current capacity and hopefully beyond in a managerial capacity and to whatever extent, possibly behind the scenes,” MVP revealed.
The 52-year-old further added that he is extremely pleased about the current state of his career, appreciating Tony for giving him, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin an opportunity to revive The Hurt Business in AEW.
“I’m very happy where I’m at right now in my career at this stage to be able to continue to contribute toward the business and make money with my friends and entertain at the level that we’re still able to maintain. I appreciate Tony Khan for giving me, Bobby, and Shelton an opportunity to get the team back together for a final run, and the future looks bright.”
MVP arrived in AEW in September 2024 and was followed by Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin. The trio went on to re-form The Hurt Business and have since been heavily featured on the company’s weekly programming.
MVP has also participated in in-ring competition sporadically since joining AEW. Last month, the trio unsuccessfully challenged The Opps for the World Trios Championship on Dynamite.
