Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura is reportedly set to return to WWE TV on tonight’s Saturday Night’s Main Event. The television special, which will feature John Cena’s retirement match, will take place at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
Ventura returned to WWE programming last year when the company decided to revive Saturday Night’s Main Event. However, after being critical of the ending of the Damian Priest-Drew McIntyre Steel Cage Match during the May 24, 2025, edition of SNME, the veteran didn’t appear on the subsequent episodes in July and November.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp has shed more light on this. According to the wrestling insider, Jesse Ventura was initially supposed to appear on more SNMEs this year, but his on-air criticism of the Steel Cage Match and the possibility of Hulk Hogan appearing on one of those shows led to the company waiting till December to bring him back. Hogan tragically passed away on July 24, 2025. Sapp also revealed that many in WWE found out about Ventura’s involvement this week.
