A new report has details on WWE’s creative plans for EVOLVE Women’s Champion Kendal Grey. Grey successfully defended her championship against PJ Vasa on tonight’s show, a match that was made official in a contract signing on the February 18th episode of EVOLVE. Bodyslam+ reports that Grey’s time on the brand is set to come to an end soon.
The report did not provide more details than that. Grey has been the EVOLVE Women’s Champion since she defeated inaugural champion Kali Armstrong on the first WWE EVOLVE: Succession on October 15th. Tonight’s show was WWE EVOLVE: Succession II.
While has made a number of defenses of her EVOLVE Women’s Championship, with her win over Vasa being her eighth. That said, three of those title defenses took place on WWE NXT and she has already been hovering around the NXT Women’s Championship picture. She challenged for the NXT Women’s Championship at a February 7th WWE NXT live event and teamed with Wrwn Sinclair in a #1 contenders tag team match for the Women’s Championship on the February 10th episode of the brand. She also challenged for the title back at NXT New Year’s Evil after winning the 2025 women’s Iron Survivor match.
There’s no word on the future of the EVOLVE Women’s Championship at this time. After Grey’s win, she had a back and forth with Tyra Mae Steele who teased chasing the title.
