Note on WWE’s Negotiations With New Orleans After Moving Wrestlemania 41 To Las Vegas

As previously reported, WWE moved next year’s Wrestlemania 42 to Las Vegas after previously scheduling the event for New Orleans. It was later noted New Orleans city officials were not sure when they will get Wrestlemania again, although they were promised the event in the future. Officials said they will “believe it when they see it.”

Instead, the city is set to host Money in the Bank next year. Fightful Select‘s Sean Ross Sapp noted that the event was offered somewhat as a consolation prize for losing ‘Mania. It was reiterated that officials don’t have “a single clue” when Wrestlemania will come to their city.

WrestleMania 41 was headlined by Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena, and also featured CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns in a triple threat match.
