Oba Femi doesn’t agree with Kit Wilson’s allegations of toxic masculinity. During last night’s WWE SmackDown, former NXT Champion Oba Femi made his presence known, answering an open challenge from Kit Wilson.
Femi beat him in less than a minute, but that hasn’t stopped allegations of Wilson calling out examples of toxic masculinity. Following last night’s WWE SmackDown, Kit Wilson wrote, “Tonight only further proves my point. I will continue to end Toxic Masculinity in this company. Kit-Wil-Son Wins again, W’s in the chat. #SmackDown”
However, Oba Femi himself later fired back at Kit Wilson on his X account, claiming that he’s not toxic, but an “Oba Feminist.” The wrestler wrote, “We can’t be toxic, we are Oba Feminists!!!!”
In a later backstage segment, Wilson accused WWE’s problem of toxic masculinity being the fault of Matt Cardona before coming into WWE “looking like a protein bar with chiseled abs.” Apollo Crews was also there, finding the situation funny. Wilson declared that he’s not finished with Cardona yet.
Meanwhile, Oba Femi’s run of dominance continues. Earlier in the week on WWE Raw, he destroyed former tag team champions The War Raiders. And his message is clear, the former NXT Champion doesn’t subscribe to the notion of toxic masculinity as he believes in Oba-Feminism.
Tonight only further proves my point.
I will continue to end Toxic Masculinity in this company.
