STARDOM Goddesses of Stardom Tag League Night 8
November 23rd, 2025 | Big Palette Fukushima in Koriyama, Fukushima | Attendance: 536
After a handful of days off, the Tag League picks back up with five matches.
Red Goddesses Block: Blue Flame [4] vs. Dos Locas de México [5]
As much as I love the ladies of DLM, their matches in this tournament have shown that they don’t quite have this gimmick down yet. It also seems like their opponents aren’t totally sure how to work them. They’ve had some good matches but we also get cases like this where things are largely fine yet also kind of messy and disappointing. I wanted to like this much more, yet it never really god past being decent. Alas, the worst thing about DLM matches is that the crowd just doesn’t care. They were always into FWC matches but they sit on their hands here. The action itself was decent enough and quick paced. Teotleco and Ranna battled at the end, with Teotleco rolling Ranna up to secure the win in 8:49. Fine enough but lackluster given the talent. [**½]
Blue Goddesses Block: Gorilla Trigger [6] vs. New Sisters [6]
New Sisters jumped the STARS ladies before the bell, as the women of HATE tend to do. They put the focus on Saya and isolated her, keeping Bea at bay and barely even letting her get on the apron. A lot of the attention here was on Konami and Saya. I wonder if that’s going to be a Wonder of Stardom program. That would be awesome because Saya has been really good for the past couple of years and that would be huge for her. Bea got the hot tag and Gorilla Trigger started pulling off solid tandem moves. They’re starting to gel as a duo and again, this is a good place for Bea to be. When New Sisters also got their tag offense going, the match picked up. In the end, Bea beat Rina with her modified Blue Thunder Bomb after 11:37. A good tag match, though nothing special. [***]
Red Goddesses Block: Akira Kurogane and Bozilla [2] vs. BMI2000 [6]
This is interesting on paper because BMI2000 can’t bully Bozilla the way they do to others. Indeed, Bozilla threw Ruaka around with ease early on. Akira fared much worse and then BMI2000 got help from HATE members outside, including Saya Kamitani. Ultimately though, not much of this was very interesting. BMI2000 matches are hit or miss and they mostly miss for me, while the opposition isn’t one of the better teams out there, so it didn’t lead to much. Nothing about the match was technically wrong, it was just rather dull. The most notable thing was the finish as Bozilla hit a not great looking piledriver on Natsuko and actually pinned her in 10:00. Natsuko doesn’t job much. [**]
Red Goddesses Block: Reckless Fantasy [0] vs. SaoriPoi [6]
There wasn’t much animosity or anything like that in this match. It was a popular babyface duo against a babyface team of basically jobbers. That said, I think Natsupoi really carried this. She was so giving to Rian, allowing the youngster the opportunity to shine against a top star. It really helped the match flow nicely. Saori wasn’t having that, though, relentlessly kicking Rian’s ass. At one point she was just stomping on her face like Rian owed her money. She even cut off Waka’s ass based offense. The final few minutes featured more close calls for Reckless Fantasy than you’d think and then Natsupoi put down Rian with a twisting splash off the top in 10:32. A solid enough little match here. [**½]
Blue Goddesses Block: Anecon [6] vs. Reiwa Tokyo Towers [2]
As usual, Anecon made for an intriguing pairing because of their differences. Syuri is a killer who will go toe-to-toe with both Ami Sohrei and Lady C, while Saki is going to take every shortcut she can to avoid that kind of action. It makes their matches fun and that was the case here. Saki’s antics were a big part of why it worked early on before it picked up in a big way down the stretch. I liked the spot where Anecon did stereo submissions. They work really well together in a way I never expected. There was also the added story of these stablemates and how Saki has kind of rejected Lady C. She even refused a pre-match handshake. She was alone in that. The Ami/Syuri exchanges late were hard hitting, as if Ami was trying to prove something to her leader. In a big moment, Ami pinned Syuri with Like Thunder after 12:54. Really good match and I think the Tokyo Towers are about to move up in the standings. [***½]
