Raven Discusses Coming Up With His Character, Life On The Road

On the latest episode of What Happened When with Tony Schiavone, Raven discussed the Raven character and more. You can check out some highlights below:

On the Raven character: “It’s like I said in the movie [about him], first art imitated life, because I built a raven on my internal baggage, and kind of just use it as catharsis. And then life started to imitate art, right? So it’s weird how that happens, you know? I felt like I had to be more depraved to live up to my character, which was based on me to begin with. So it really made no sense. But psychologically, it does, it just doesn’– t simplistically it should just be easy enough to just [be like], ‘Tat doesn’t make any sense.’ But addiction is addiction.”

On life on the road as a wrestler: “Yeah, [I] took a beating. I mean, and then you’ve got to fly everywhere, and then you’re cramped into a rental car. I mean, it’s brutal on you. And there’s no days off, and we don’t have a locker room, like you know, a home team where we would go where there’s hot tubs and ice baths.”
