RAW Underground Reportedly ‘Done’ In WWE
October 16, 2020 | Posted by
RAW Underground hasn’t been seen in weeks and while there had been reports WWE would keep using it, the opposite seems to be true now. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the concept is now considered “done” in WWE.
It was originally put on hold because of an outbreak of COVID-19 among NXT talent and concern that extras that worked in the crowd may have exposed. Everyone who was part of that has returned but RAW Underground has not. There is concern that bringing in so many extras, as well as NXT rosters, could start a spread to the RAW roster (or vice versa) if someone is exposed again, so they want to keep the brands separate.
