SAG-AFTRA President Declares Support for Zelina Vega Following WWE Release
– As previously reported, the wrestling world was left reeling yesterday when WWE announced the release of Zelina Vega. Shortly before WWE confirmed her release, Vega posted a tweet on her official account stating, “I support unionization.” It appears Vega’s comments have earned the attention of The Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio (SAG-AFTRA), along with the union’s President, Gabriella Carteris (who portrayed Andrea Zuckerman in Beverly Hills, 90210).
First off, after Vega’s tweet on unionization, the official SAG-AFTRA Twitter account responded to Vega’s comment, responding, “So do we.” Later on, Carteris tweeted a public message on her own Twitter, writing to Zelina Vega, “Hey @Zelina_VegaWWE Thanks for standing strong for labor solidarity. I support you. Please email me [email protected]”
