Stephen A. Smith Rejects Danhausen’s Curse Removal Demands

If Danhausen insists on using his “You…Are…Cursed!” catchphrase every time he’s on TV, he might run out of WWE talents to curse. Perhaps that’s why he has gone further afield, and cursed people on other TV shows as well.
On April 17th, he appeared on ESPN’s First Take, and cursed host Stephen A. Smith for the crime of being rude. The effect of the curse, if you can call it that, is that Smith’s favorite basketball team, the New York Knicks, have since lost two straight games to the Atlanta Hawks. Seems unfair that a whole team who did nothing to Danhausen should suffer for Smith’s transgressions, but as Fightful notes, Atlanta has the talented Jalen Johnson on their side.
Danhausen, however, whose relationship to reality can be tenuous, offered Smith a chance to apologize…and send him money. On social media, Smith remained defiant, stating, “I’m not apologizing for a damn thing @DanhausenAD. Not a damn thing. Curse or no curse, the @nyknicks have NO BUSINESS losing this series to the @ATLHawks — no matter how good that young team is. No business. If the @Knicks lose this series, heads need to roll. Period. President! GM! Coach! Players! Even the damn Dance Team! To hell with all that superstitious stuff.”

Smith has until tomorrow to change his mind and see if apologizing will help the Knicks in their next game.
