The Rock’s New DVD Sales Lagging Behind Austin & WCW Nitro DVDs
WWE’s new “The Epic Journey of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson” DVD has shipped 115,000 units in its first two weeks of sales (February 12th to February 29th), according to WWE’s updated monthly business figures.
By comparison, Randy Orton’s 2011 DVD release shipped 115,000 copies as well in its first two weeks while the “Stone Cold” Steve Austin DVD release from November 2011 shipped 136,000 units in its first two weeks. The top DVD for WWE in the last nine months remains “The Very Best of WCW Monday Nitro” which shipped 142,000 copies in its first two weeks back in June of 2011.
