More Details on TJP Getting Released by WWE

– As previously reported, WWE recently confirmed the releases of Tye Dillinger, Hideo Itami, and TJP. Reports indicated that TJP’s release was not voluntary. On the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t WrestlingInc.com), Dave Meltzer spoke about what happened with WWE exit.

Meltzer stated that TJP’s release was due to disciplinary reasons, and WWE officials felt that they needed part ways with the former Cruiserweight champion. Additionally, it was stated that a lack of creative ideas was not the reason for why he was let go. It was noted that even Superstars who aren’t on TV much or don’t have much in the way of material from WWE Creative aren’t being let go from the promotion as of now. Previous reports have indicated Vince McMahon and WWE were concerned about the perception of people wanting to quit or leave the promotion.

Another online rumor stated that TJP getting new tattoos without informing management was a reason that led to his release. TJP later tweeted out that he asked for permission on the tattoos six months ago and was told by the “boss” that they looked cool when they met last week.
