NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa had successful neck surgery yesterday in Birmingham, Alabama. The normal recovery time for an anterior cervical fusion, the procedure that Ciampa had, is believed to be around 3-6 months. WWE has yet to provide an official update on his status. It’s believed that Ciampa will drop the NXT title at the TV tapings next Wednesday at Full Sail University.
WWE has provided a link to photos of the surgery, but they are graphic and definitely NSFW.
