Top Dolla Praises Michael Hayes, Says He ‘Has No Beef’ With Him

The former Top Dolla is shooting down speculation that Michael Hayes took shots at him, taking to social media to offer praise for the WWE legend. AJ Francis posted to Twitter earlier this week and alleged that a “60 year old documented racist called me fat, a whale, a manatee & worthless on his show for like a year straight and nobody batted an eye.” There was some speculation that it might be Hayes, who has previously been called out for past racially charged comments. Francis has since responded and said that it was not Hayes, writing:

“I heard the stories about Michael Hayes before I got to WWE just like everybody else but let me tell you in my personal dealings with Michael, he was one of the nicest people and he always showed my matches love, especially when we did house shows. I have no beef with Michael.”

As it turns out, the comments were made by Jim Cornette who commented on the matter, writing:

“I’m 62, Flopper, get your facts straight. How can having an aversion to marine life that tries to wrestle be termed racist? I don’t think whales and manatees are ALL bad, just the lousy workers. If your swimming is half as bad as your wrestling, you could be HUGE at Sea World.”

Franchise also confirmed that he was specifically referencing Cornette’s release from the NWA back in 2019 for a racially-tinged joke he made on air.
