This week’s edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has an update on the contract statuses of several TNA wrestlers, including former TNA International Champion Steve Maclin, Zachary Wentz, Jake Something, and AJ Francis. It was initially reported that the four aforementioned wrestlers were signed to new three-month contracts for TNA.
According to the latest update, the Observer Newsletter reports that the outlet was told from that list that Jake Something and Wentz have not signed new contracts. For some additional details on this, Fightful Select reported on December 19 that while four wrestlers were named for signing three-month-long deals that two of those rumored names were untrue, specifically Wentz and Jake Something.
Fightful Select also reported that Maclin and Francis reportedly agreed to the new short-term contracts, but Francis had not yet signed as of December 19. Observer’s update indicates that Maclin and Francis may have signed their new short-term contracts.
It was also previously rumored by The Observer Newsletter that several wrestlers from TNA and AEW reached out to WWE, but they were reportedly told that WWE isn’t currently looking to bring new people on board.
