Urban Wrestling Federation Plans Monthly PPVs Using Old Content
– According to PWInsider, the revived Urban Wrestling Federation will be using previously-filed content to produce monthly PPVs. The site reports that the revived PPVs are “something of a retelling” of the promotion’s original angles with re-edited matches and previously-unaired pre- and post-match vignettes and footage that were filmed back during the original PPVs in order to enhance the characterizations and storylines.
The next PPV will be “Hood Killa” and will debut in July on PPV and satellite, with a main event of Ricky Reyes vs. Slyck Wagner Brown. The first PPV, “Bloody Bullet,” is already available on other providers and will debut on DirecTV along with “Hood Killa” next month. There has been discussion of filming new, original content but at this point that isn’t confirmed.
