[VIDEO] 5-Minute Wrestling Reviews: PWG All Star Weekend 14 (Night 2)

PWG put on Night 2 of All Star Weekend 14 this past April, and it was full of solid wrestling. While no match was out of this world great, the Bandido/Rey Horus match is still worth checking out if you are cherry picking matches. The main event of Keith Lee/Walter/Jonah Rock was a slugfest, and newsworthy as well with a new champion crowned. Though not up to par with some of the better PWG events, it was still a fun show that breezed by while watching.

Trevor Lee vs. Flash Morgan Webster: Lee attacks early and gets heat before Webster rains down punches. Lee gets a nearfall after a head kick and then gets a 2 after a back suplex. Webster hits a tope con helo and locks a guillotine. Lee fights out and hits a double stomp for 2. Webster hits a DDT for 2 and hits a headbutt before Lee hits Orange Crush out of nowhere to win. [**3/4]

Robbie Eagles vs. Joey Janela: Mat work and trade of holds starts us off. Janela hits a dive and takes a swig of beer from the crowd. Eagles hits a tope con helo through the second rope. Janela hits a tombstone on the apron and then on the floor. Back inside Janela hits a package piledriver for 2. Eagles hits double knees in the corner for 2. They trade superkicks and lariats and trade forearms on the ground. Eagles hits sliced bread two times for a nearfall. Janela hits a sick looking top rope brain buster to win. [***1/4]

Sammy Guevara vs. Taiji Ishimori: Guevara takes over early and hits a front kick on the top rope. Guevara hits a dive over the ringpost but misses a SSP and eats a lung blower. Ishimori blocks a SSP and locks in a crossface. Bloody Cross is reversed and Sammy hits a Spanish Fly and superkick for 2. Sammy hits an SSP to get the win. [***1/2]

The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz) vs. Violence Unlimited (Brody King and Tyler Bateman): King delivers big chops Xavier and hits a Rana. Wentz gets the heat for a while as he gets destroyed with chops. King eats a Bronco Buster for 2 and Rascalz follow with quick double team moves including an assisted step up tope. Xavier hits a great corkscrew tope and a double team stomp on King gets 2. Violence Unlimited unleashes big strikes on Xavier for 2. Xavier hits a Pele on King and then the assisted SSP on Bateman gets the win. [***1/2]

Bandido vs. Rey Horus: We get a quick lucha start with a hot crowd. Bandido hits a tope and they trade strikes outside. Horus hits a Rana and tope con helo, but Bandido fires back with a Fosbury Flop. Bandido’s GTS is followed by a powerbomb and superkick for 2. They have a striking exchange before Horus hits a monster DDT and Spanish fly for 2. Bandido hits a top rope fallaway slam to get the win. [***3/4]

Matt Riddle vs. Timothy Thatcher: They trade submissions on the ground early on, and Riddle lays in some kicks and a gut wrench powerbomb. Riddle lays in some flying forearms and sentons for 2. Thatcher hits a big belly to belly and butterfly suplex for 2. Riddle fights back with some powerbombs and a running knee for 2. Jumping tombstone gets another nearfall. Another knee and the Bromission ends it for a Riddle win. [***1/2]

Keith Lee vs. Jonah Rock vs. WALTER for the PWG Title: Lee hits a belly to belly early on Walter, and Rock hits a tope. Lee hits a tope con helo on both guys. All three guys exchange monster chops and go into a triple down. Lee hits a big powerbomb on Walter for 2. Walter hits a German while Lee hits Rock with a Samoan drop. Walter hits a shotgun dropkick on Rock but eats a low blow for 2 from Rock. Rock plays the heel and hits a brainbuster for 2. Walter goes up top and hits a splash for 1. Walter hits a lariat on Lee to end it, and become the champ. Sammy Guevara came out post match to challenge for the title. [***1/2]
