Will Ospreay Reveals What His Parents Wanted Him to Be

Will Ospreay is considered one of the best pure wrestlers in the world today, and as he prepares to main event at Wembley Stadium in London, he says his parents have always been supportive. However, in a talk with The Takedown on SI, he revealed what they actually wanted him to do for a living intially.

“A lot of people do forget, like, this has been something that’s been in my life since I was 14 years old,” he said. “That was the first time I ever had a wrestling ring in my garden, thanks to my mum and my dad uh who supported me throughout all this crazy journey, of them just wanting me to be an electrician, or wanting me to just be a window fitter. And me just being, like, no I kind of want to do this wrestling thing.”

“They have been so supportive,” he acknowledged. “So to have it all culminate in one of the most iconic stadiums that the UK has to offer — THE most iconic stadium that the UK has to offer — is truly out of this world.”

Ospreay will take on Kenny Omega in the main event of AEW All In London. The card takes place live on pay-per-view tomorrow, August 30th.
